After losing 34-20 at Cleveland:
WFT looked a lot more like WTF in the first half of an awful performance at Cleveland, led by the 15th pick in the 2019 draft and presumptive quarterback of the future.
Dwayne Haskins threw two picks in the last eight minutes of the second quarter, both leading to Cleveland touchdowns. The second was particularly egregious.
Remember Malcolm Smith, the MVP of the Super Bowl seven seasons ago for Seattle? Well, five teams later, he’s a Brown, and Haskins threw him a pass like Smith was the intended receiver at the two-minute warning before halftime.
Nick Chubb scored first, then Kareem Hunt, and Cleveland went into halftime up 17-7. Haskins got the lead back in the third quarter, but then threw his third pick of the day—again turning into a Cleveland TD—to lose the lead for good. In all, Haskins turned it over four times, and the Browns turned the gaffes into 24 points.
