Says the Redskins own website:
Considered one of the top quarterback prospects in this years’ draft, Walter Football’s Walter Cherepinsky has the Redskins taking the 6-foot-4 signal caller with the 15th selection in his most recent mock draft.
The Redskins could potentially be looking to boost their quarterbacks’ room along with veterans Alex Smith and Colt McCoy by adding a young gunslinger in Lock.
He would be the 13th quarterback taken in the first round by the Redskins in franchise history, and the first since 2012 when Washington selected Robert Griffin III with the second-overall pick.
“Drew Lock has a great arm and can make any throw.” Cherepinsky said. “He should probably be taken in the second round, but we’ve seen teams reach for quarterbacks over the years.”
