COULD REDSKINS LOSE ADRIAN PETERSON TO VIKES?

By Harry Allison

The Redskins got a first-rate 2018 from 33-year-old running back Adrian Peterson.

He appeared in 16 games and racked up a total of 1,250 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns on 271 touches.

This offseason, Peterson is scheduled to be a free-agent and he should be able to generate some interest from a number of teams around the NFL based on his production in 2018.

The Vikings also happen to possibly be in the market to add a veteran back this year to be the backup behind Dalvin Cook.

Could a return to Minnesota in 2019 actually be possible for Peterson? Well, at least one notable person believes that re-joining the Vikings this year would be the most ideal decision for the veteran running back.

Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis recently commented on NFL Network that it would be great to see Peterson end his pro career back in a Minnesota uniform.

“It’s time to bring AP back home. It’s time to bring him back to Minnesota. Think about it, Latavius Murray may be out of there. You still like Dalvin Cook, he’s going to be there.

But remember, this is a two-back league now. You bring Adrian back. What I saw last year, there was a lot of gas in the tank and it would be phenomenal to see him finish his career off in Minnesota where it all started.”
