CAPS FINALLY AGREE TO TAKE THEIR CUP TO TRUMP’S WHITE HOUSE!

By Sally Fahey

The 2018 Stanley Cup champs will visit President Trump at the White House on Monday, March 25, according to WAPO.

The White House visit follows months of delay and controversy following the team’s 2018 Stanley Cup championship.

In the fall of 2017, the president rescinded an invitation to the then-champion Golden State Warriors. Several days later, the then-champion Pittsburgh Penguins announced they would indeed visit Trump. In October 2017 the Penguins made their appearance with Trump.

In the spring of 2018 the then-Super Bowl champ Philadelphia Eagles nixed a team-wide visit and Trump then rescinded his invite.

In January 2019, the champion Clemson Tigers football team ate fast food provided by Trump.
