CAPS T. J. OSHIE OUT FOR REST OF PLAYOFFS AFTER SURGERY

By Harry Allison

The Capitals expect to be without T.J. Oshie for the remainder of the playoffs, saying that the veteran winger had surgery Friday to repair a broken right clavicle.

Coach Todd Reirden had called Oshie out indefinitely earlier in the week. Oshie was injured late in Game 4 Thursday night at Carolina on a hit from behind from Hurricanes left wing Warren Foegele.

Oshie went right shoulder-first into the boards, and Foegele was given a two-minute minor penalty for boarding. Washington won Saturday to take a a 3-2 in the series, with Game 6 in Carolina tonight.
