REDSKINS ADRIAN PETERSON IS ON THE CASE KEENUM TRAIN!

By Timmy Matthis

The Redskins already have a quarterback competition that may escalate into a controversy.

Dwayne Haskins is the clear quarterback of the future. He’s their franchise guy and the one that they’ll hope can help turn the organization around.

However, will he start in year one? That’s the big question. Washington has veteran quarterback Case Keenum available to them – and according to Patrick Walker of 247Sports.com, running back Adrian Peterson likes that.

Peterson spoke on how good Keenum has been for the team and how important it is to have a veteran like that on the team and running the offense.

This wasn’t an insult towards Haskins though. Peterson pointed out that he’s looking forward to seeing what the young quarterback can do in Training Camp. However, it’s pretty simple at the moment. Peterson’s seen Keenum play in games – he knows what he brings to the table. Haskins is still a relative unknown.

Washington has an interesting team. The defense should be great, led by an incredible front seven. Meanwhile, the running backs should be fun but a lot is left to be desired when it comes to the receiving corps. That’s where a veteran quarterback comes into play. He might be able to get the most out of the young wide receivers and help them grow.

Right now, the answer might be Case Keenum.
