Scott Brooks is in his fourth season of a five-year deal with the Wizards, but the team has changed tremendously since the beginning of last season.
They lost John Wall to injury, traded Otto Porter and Markieff Morris and lost Tomas Storansky, Trevor Ariza and Bobby Portis in free agency.
Of the nine players who started the most games for the Wizards last season, seven are gone.
The team will struggle, lurch into full tank mode, and might blow things up entirely and trade Bradley Beal.
It’s not what Brooks signed up for three years ago, and a mutual parting of ways might be the best outcome if the Wizards nosedive.
