There is no other way to describe the Redskins decision to finally trade Trent Williams:
What took you so long?
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Redskins are now open to trading star left tackle Williams, and that they have begun looking at potential trade partners and the Cleveland Browns are among the teams interested in acquiring Williams.
Williams is going to be a very hot commodity on the trade market if the Redskins are seriously open to moving him. He is one of the top offensive linemen in football and there are quite a few teams that could use a player with his abilities.=
He is likely worth a high round draft pick and possibly even more than that depending on the market.
It is going to be intriguing to keep an eye on the trade deadline this year. There have been quite a few big names rumored to be available at the right price. Williams is the best offensive lineman on that list, which will give the Redskins a lot of bargaining power.
