In the owner’s box during the Redskins latest defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, the headlining figures were injured quarterback Alex Smith and his former college coach Urban Meyer.
Burce Allen, the longtime Dan Snyder confident who is celebrating 10 years with the organization on Dec. 17, may have fallen out of favor quite literally.
NBC Sports Washington’s J.P. Finlay wrote recently that Snyder and Allen, who “are often spotted together at FedEx Field before Redskins home games” have been “much less visible in the past few weeks”
According to a report from the Post‘s Les Carpenter, there is growing speculation within Redskins Park that over the last few weeks Snyder might be preparing for Allen’s departure and while many described the pair as being “joined at the hip” divorce could be coming soon.
And the team president’s absence from the owner’s suite with Snyder and Smith has fueled a bit of that speculation, per Carpenter.
“Bruce not being (in the postgame suite) is a big thing,” a person who knows Snyder’s and Allen’s habits told The Post. That person added it is a sign “Bruce is in exile.”
