The Redskins will reportedly meet with Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week.
Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline, who last week reported Trent Williams is likely to return to the Redskins “because of Ron Rivera,” broke the news, which has since been corroborated by the Post.
“Interestingly enough, Tua has an official 45 meeting with the Washington Redskins at the Combine,” Pauline writes. “While there are some in the Washington organization not sold on Dwayne Haskins, I would not read to much into this. Though an interesting talking point, in the end, it’s Washington doing their due diligence.”
Washington has long been connected to Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young, who many believe to be a no-brainer pick at second overall (or first, for that matter). But the fact remains that there will be plenty of teams wishing to move up for the chance to draft Tagovailoa, a proven winner of the highest national championship order.
