Veteran radio play-by-play man Larry Michael has announced that he’s retiring after 16 seasons as “Voice of the Redskins.”
“After 16 great years my time with the organization is over,” Michael said. “As a lifelong Washingtonian, I was blessed to work with a lot of great people. I want to thank everyone who contributed over the years. I’m especially grateful to Dan Snyder for giving me the opportunity. On to the next chapter.”
In addition to his radio duties, Michael also served as host of the team’s TV show, “Redskins Nation,” and also held positions with the club of senior vice president and chief content officer.
