WFT has re-signed quarterback Taylor Heinicke to a two-year deal, the club announced.
The deal is worth $8.75 million and includes incentives depending on how many games he starts, according to a report from the NFL Network.
Heinicke, 27, started Washington’s wild-card playoff loss to the Buccaneers, passing for 306 yards and rushing for 46. He completed 12 of 19 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown in one regular-season appearance.
Heinicke has made one career regular-season start, in 2018 for the Panthers. He was undrafted out of Old Dominion in 2015.
