Nats outfielder Juan Soto continued his post-All-Star break hot streak against the Miami Marlins, hitting his fifth home run in four games since returning. The Nationals won the game 18-1.
Per ESPN Stats, Soto is the first player in MLB history to record five homers and 10 hits in the first four games following an All-Star break. He finished Monday’s game 3-for-4 at the plate, adding a double and five RBIs to his stat line.
The 18 runs scored was a season-high mark for Washington and comes just three days after surrendering 24 to the San Diego Padres.
