Kyle Kuzma reportedly thought he was going to the Sacramento Kings before the blockbuster deal with Washington occurred last month.
There was a ton of talk about sending Kuzma to Sacramento in a deal involving Buddy Hield, but the tables quickly turned as it ultimately was Russell Westbrook who wound up on the Lakers in exchange for Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and this year’s No. 22 overall pick.
Kuzma said that he was “super hype” that he ended up in Washington D.C. and emphasized how excited he is to play with Bradley Beal.
