NO SURGERY ‘FOR NOW’ ON WFT’S FITZ’S HIP, HEINICKE STARTS TONIGHT!

By Lewis Gould

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports WFT QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will rehab his hip without surgery “for now.”

Fitzpatrick, who suffered the injury early in Washington’s Week 1 loss to the Chargers, could return by early November if the nonsurgical rehab option works out.

The Post reports he has a 6-8 week timeline.

Taylor Heinicke will take over agt QB and could easily secure the starting job in the coming weeks, relegating Fitzpatrick to backup duties upon his return.

Heinicke needs to be rostered in all superflex formats.
