After Maryland’s 20-17 win over Illinois, Terps’ head coach Mike Locksley informed the media that starting cornerback Deonte Banks had shoulder surgery, and that there is no time table for his return.
The loss of Banks is a tough one for Maryland. Banks was a starter for Maryland, and played a key part in their 2-0 start before going down with his injury.
According to Maryland’s depth chart, redshirt senior Kenny Bennett will get the first crack at replacing Banks.
