Wide receiver Curtis Samuel will be active for Sunday’s WFT game against the Falcons, head coach Ron Rivera announced today.
Samuel was placed on the short-term injured reserve list in early September after aggravating a groin injury that forced him to miss the entirety of minicamp and all but one day of training camp.
He has now practiced for three consecutive days.
“He did some good things today and I feel positive about him,” Rivera said. “He’ll be ready to roll.”
Samuel was signed by Washington this offseason on a three-year, $34.5 million deal. He was expected to help bolster an offense led by rising star Terry McLaurin before the injury kept Samuel off the field.
