Ex-Nats star Max Scherzer gave up a run over 4 1/3 innings in his start for the Dodgers against the Cardinals in the National League Wild Card Game.
Scherzer did not have his best command, and uncorked a wild pitch in the first inning that gave the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
He was able to keep St. Louis off the board from that point on, but he put runners on first-and-second in the fifth inning before leaving the contest.
He should start either Game 3 or Game 4 at home of the NLDS against the Giants.
