Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that the Orioles are in agreement with first-overall pick Jackson Holliday for a “touch over” the $8.185 million that second-overall selection Druw Jones received,
It’s a record for a prep player, but still below the $8,846,900 slot for the first-overall selection.
The son of Matt Holliday, Jackson has plus tools across the board, and should be able to stay at shortstop. He’s years away from contributing, but he’s a must-roster player in all eligible keeper formats.
