NO COMMANDERS SALE VOTE APPROVAL AT NEXT WEEK’S NFL MEETING

By Max Harper

The NFL ownership meeting in Minneapolis next week will not feature a vote on the sale of the Commanders.

Josh Harris and his partners announced their purchase of the team from Dan and Tonya Snyder for a $6.05 billion pricetag in a purchase and sale agreement announced last Friday.

The league will provide ownership with an update, said league executive vice president of communications, public affairs and policy Jeff Miller. But the sale remains in the early stages of review by the league office and the NFL owners’ finance committee.

“There is work that goes into that, and staff is doing that now,” Miller said on a conference call with reporters.
