COMMANDERS LOST IN OT BUT SAM HOWELL HAD A PRETTY GOOD DAY — TAKE A LOOK!

By Ben Sullivan

Sam Howell completed 29-of-41 passes for 290 yards and one touchdown in the Commanders’ 34-3 loss to the Eagles.

Howell didn’t turn the ball over, looking on point for the majority of the day and turning in his best drive in the closing seconds of regulation.

With the Commanders trailing 31-24 and under two minutes to go, Howell rallied the offense for 64 yards in short order, capping the drive with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jahan Dotson as time expired.

The Commanders would go on to tie the game and force overtime, but came up short in their lone extra possession. Howell still took five sacks and is now on pace for 102 sacks on the season — an improvement on the 108 sack pace he was on entering the day.
